WANT Training Services was established by Sharon and Robyn to provide quality training and assessment, that arms the student with current knowledge and skills, arming with real work capabilities when they finish the course.
Meet Our Instructors
Robyn DeJong
Robyn is also one of the two Directors of WANT and brings experience in TAE management, quality, compliance, and disability services. Robyn is the lead Community Service facilitator at WANT and also facilitates business and TAE training.
Robyn is an experienced disability services professional who has worked in both the Government and private sectors and has a background in compliance, auditing, training, assessing and management. She has served as an Evaluator for the Disability Services Commission, and conducts regulatory audits in a range of human service and quality standards nationally.
I always enjoyed being a student; that blank page you start with, the challenge of working through a course, learning new things, and the feeling of achievement when you complete a course. I take that passion to the classroom as a trainer and now I love helping others do the same. , I think sometimes I am more excited than a student is when they complete their qualification.
Sharon Stewart
Sharon is one of the two Directors of WANT and she brings a wealth of experience in TAE, VET compliance, training, and assessment to the team. Sharon is the lead TAE facilitator at WANT, and also facilitates business training.
Sharon has over 28 years of experience in the education and training sector, specializing in auditing and quality evaluations of Registered Training Organizations (RTOs) She has worked as a Consulting Internal Auditor and as an auditor for the Training Accreditation Council of WA, leading and working in audit teams, planning and scheduling audit activities, and reporting compliance status. Sharon has also held management and leadership roles in RTOs and has experience in instructional design and training and assessment for multiple industry areas.
Shelly Rourke
Trainer-Assessor, facilitating TAE, business and First Aid training. Shelly completed her TAE with WANT several years ago and her team approach and passion for training she brought to every workshop as a student, is now used to train and support WANT students.
I started out as a member-trainer at my local Surf Life Saving Club to further develop my passion for teaching life skills. Over the years, this has allowed me to achieve many of my own training goals, including completing my Diploma in Training & Assessing. This has opened the door for me to assist others on their training and assessing journey and realising their own potential.
I love a challenge and the constant learning this field of work brings.
Kimmy Luehman
Trainer-Assessor, facilitating business training, and Student Support Coordinator and Admin Officer. Kimmy brings her quality and systems management experience to the team and manages both her roles at want with a can-do attitude and a smile for everyone.
Both roles allow me to satisfy my main passion in life which is helping people! Guiding and working with others to reach their potential is the best, whether it is talking through an assessment task, completing student status reports, or organising behind the scenes stuff – I love it.
When I’m not in my little home office you can find me running around after my very active young son, working out in my home gym, or relaxing with a sneaky wine and a trashy crime thriller book!
I believe life should be lived, so reach for the stars, and if you don’t grab them at least you’ll fall on top of the world.
