WA State Funding
WANT has Priority Industry Training funding available in Western Australia for Certificate III in Individual Support. WANT can assist you with checking your eligibility criteria. More information can be found at https://www.jobsandskills.wa.gov.au/
National Over 40’s Funding
Skills Checkpoint for Older Workers (SCOW) is available to students across Australia and will fund up to 75% of the course fee with funding capped at $2000.
The funding supports older workers to:
- Transition into new roles within their current industry.
- such as utilising existing skills, knowledge or expertise in your industry and becoming a trainer and assessor (TAE40122 Cert IV Training and Assessment) or quality and compliance roles (BSB50920 Diploma of Quality Auditing)
- Find pathways to a new career.
- Such as working in the disability sector (CHC33021 Cert III Individual Support)
The funding is coordinated by Busy at Work who check eligibility with students and administer the funds.
Eligibility criteria includes:
- Over 40
- Australian citizens or permanent residents
- Students who are employed, and those recently unemployed.
